Hi Everyone - Debbi inquired about technology for the Showcase, and I thought I'd post an announcement so everyone would know what to expect.

Each presentation room will be equiped with a projector and a laptop.  The laptops will be PCs.  I am told that even if presenters created their powerpoints on a mac, it should work fine on the PCs at PK Yonge. Otherwise, folks are welcome to bring their own laptop and cable adaptor for the projectors.

As a presenter, I always am prepared to talk even if my powerpoints aren't working (and it actually happened to me once for a keynote!).  I usually bring a handout and speak from that if the powerpoint isn't working.  You might share with your inquirers that it's always a good idea to be prepared for technology that doesn't work, just in case there's a glitch.  As last year, we'll have at least one technology person circulating and helping (David Young) and I'm trying to get a second person (Jeff Boyer) to help as well.
