Hi Fabulous Facilitators -

I've set a date and secured a place for our January meeting. I think everyone who responded about meeting can make it on Tuesday, January 22 (Debbi asked to stay away from the last two weeks in January due to DIBELS in her district, but others couldn't do early January, so I'm hoping with enough notice Debbi can make her schedule so she can come!)

The Community Classroom at P.K Yonge was not available, so we will meet in the Terrace Room at Norman Hall. You can park at PK and either walk over or we'll get a van to ride people over. We'll meet for our traditional 9:00 - 2:00 time. On the agenda - How Everything Is Going, Showcase Planning and Preparation (There is A LOT to share with you about this!), Our On-line Learning Community, and more! NEFEC covers the cost of your substitute. I will expect that everyone will attend, this, our last meeting before the Showcase, unless I hear otherwise.

I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by - it seems from some of the recent posts to our on-line community that inquiry is flourishing in many districts! Here's something for you to ponder as facilitators -- we have now entered a very hectic time of year for teachers and students personally and professionally: holiday preparation, functions and activities will cause the month of December to "fly by" -- what are some ways we can keep enthusiasm for inquiry sustained during this hectic time period in everyone's lives and/or if we all take a little "breather" from our inquiries during the hectic month of December, how do we renew and restore the energy needed to continue the inquiry process when we return from our holiday breaks in January? If you have any thoughts on this -- please share!!
